New build
A time to build at Gortmerron
For some considerable time now, the Gortmerron Church has been exploring the possibility of relocating to a new site, kindly gifted to the church. The new site is approximately 2 miles from its existing building which has served the church well for over 50 years. After much prayer, numerous members meetings and lots of discussions with architect, planners and banks, work has now started on the new building. It is estimated that the new build will take 6-7 months to complete at a cost of £630,000.
The Gortmerron church recognizes this is a huge undertaking but firmly believes this is the way the Lord has been leading and that relocating to the new site will bring the church closer to a centre of population which will be good for the work of the Gospel.
The project has been surrounded in prayer from its inception many years ago. As a result, the church has seen God’s hand at work in many different ways, perhaps most notably in overturning an initial decision by planners to refuse the application. As this project progresses, the church at Gortmerron would greatly value the prayerful & if possible the practical support of their sister churches.
